I live in a working class barrio in Barcelona. It’s called Sants. Most of the time I love it but sometimes It makes me crazy because it can be insanely noisy and the people are such litter bugs. Here are some of my neighbors.

We played hooky and went with friends to a nice beach just up the coast. Here are the resultant photos.

We went to Morocco for a birthday party. We stayed at a nice but slightly worn resort. Here’s some pictures.

Barcelona like other temperate cities takes on a very different character when the weather turns bad. Northern cities often get cozier when it rains but Barcelona and places like LA just seem to go in a totally different direction. Granted these images are not romantic… no modernista masterpieces reflected in wet cobblestones… but these images might be a more accurate reflection of the real face of unchecked development. We spend Christmas in Rouen in Normandy. We sometimes take the train to Paris for a couple of days between Christmas and New Years. Pictures here.

We spend part of each summer in Brittany and Normandy. There are often fairs and circuses. As they are geographically right next to each other it’s odd that the coastal people of Normandy are so much darker and taciturn than the Bretons. Maybe it’s that the Bretons are celts. Mysterious. I went to Dubai in November of 2007 for a grand total of 18 hours for a preproduction meeting for a television commercial. It was overwhelming. I only had my DV camera and my cel phone to take pictures with but I was able to return a few months later and take more pictures with a better camera. The photos can be found here as well as the photos page.

I made two trips to Dubai in 2007. On the last trip I spent a couple of days driving around taking pictures of the people that are building the place, and what they are building.

I am finally organizing my art and photos. First up is my odd trip to Beirut in 2007.

I went to Beirut to shoot a commercial. On the day before I was supposed to leave more or less war broke out. I went anyway. Hmmmmm….
